Uchawi at its best???....NOT!

Oh, the beauty and joy of a short post.

Trust me this thing had me puzzled at first..I had tried everything even repeating the same number didn't change a thing. However, you do have to think of a real number resulting from proper maths. If you guys can figure it out, comment chap chap...this is impressive stuff! But the catch is pretty obvious...

I tried 17-8=9 like ten times different symbols they got it right all the time...a PRIZE will await he who figures out what the catch is fastest. That PRIZE could be an email of PART 2 and 3 of the BLOGGER MEET UP

If you wanna be fooled check this out...but small hint, it really isnt magic

tell yu what? i think it has something to do with an internal psychological perception that the image yu get after adding the numbers is what will be seen in the flash player.

...and if that aint true, Nick this whole thing shows yu are paranoid!!!! tehehe

short answer: randomized presentation of symbols is how the principle works.

Underlying theory:
Then mathafu will pre-limit the number of possibilities (aka "cut-off" or which numbers gets called to join the institution)

Then the squiggles (sp) are repeated strategically.

uchawi pure and simple;)) but there is a limit to the number of symbols involved I tried without doing the addition and came up,with symbols still; there is no magic.

elementary watson:

any two digit number, let's say ab (yes, yes, I know it's multiplication there, just work with me) minus the sum of the individual numbers a+b will always equal a multiple of nine.

1-10=9 x 1
20-2=9 x 2
30-3=9 x 3

and on it goes. Don't be fooled by the "random" arrangement of the symbols.

and, yes, I failed calculus. But this was simple algebra.

in short, mutumia was mostly right.

I win the prize, right?
